Our business owner, John, started as a hobby keeper. He is now focusing on helping to advance the hobby with new and innovative best practices within the industry. C.J. is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and has over twenty years of experience in the animal industry. Her business acumen and love for reptiles has helped build the foundation of Kaizen Hogs.
John is a graduate of Louisiana State University. He owned a saltwater aquarium store for over thirteen years. Finding his love for hognose, he decided to redirect his life and focus on raising
the best western hognose possible.
Shiva is one of the first snakes Kaizen Hogs owned. She's a super arctic leucistic western hognose and one of the first of her kind in the hobby. She was produced by Jeff Galewood at JMG Reptile. Not only is she the image of Kaizen Hogs, but a major backbone to our leucistic projects.
THE FACILITY
In the words of John Hammond, "We spared no expense."
Kaizen Hogs has invested in state of the art ARS racks and equipment that have been customized to our standards. The facility and equipment were all purchased in new condition. Cleanliness and sanitation is of utmost importance. We use professional Wilbanks brumators and customized incubators to replicate a safe, highly effective and stable artificial environment. Brood stock and babies have separate spaces. All brood stock have been sourced from highly trusted breeders or produced in house. Outsourced brood are strictly quarantined with multiple tests sent out to ensure they are free from disease and parasites. All animals are fed a high quality rodent diet supplemented with human grade vitamins. We understand there is always room for improvement. We are continuously learning to perfect our craft. Kaizen Hogs is striving for the upmost quality care and best practices for our animals to thrive.
